Designing and building furniture has been one of Jared's passions since refining the skill during graduate studies.  As is often the case, the lines between various design fields are easily blurred and finding the common bond between them can be an informative and constructive strategy.  A common idiom... 'the devil is in the detail' is a favorite among architects and holds true when designing and building furniture.  A designer is forced to reconcile the form, material and joinery in each piece in order to achieve the desired function.  These methods are no different than in architecture and quality construction - where the intersections between various elements are the true challenge of the profession.
